WILLS

Do I need one?

Wills are the most common type of estate planning document. While having a will does not prevent the need to go to court (probate), it will streamline the process substantially. If a person dies without a will, the court will look to state law, which dictates how the assets will be distributed. By executing a will during your lifetime, you not only provide your loved ones with direction upon death, but you can dictate where you want your assets to go.

If you already have a will, you should have it reviewed every three to five years to ensure it is accurate and reflects your current wishes. If an update is necessary, we can execute a codicil, which amends your current will, or we can execute a new one all together.

Our will package includes a power of attorney, health care directive, and living will. All are extremely necessary documents in providing for your care if incapacitated or worse.

Please contact our office to setup a meeting to discuss the creation, amendment, or any other questions regarding a will.
